The Mary Rellergert Forestry Education Award is an annual award recognizing excellence in forestry education. Recipients can be formal or non-formal educators and organizations or programs that provide forestry education in the state of Oregon.
This award is named in honor of Mary Rellergert, who was a tireless advocate for forestry education with both the Oregon Department of Forestry and the OSU, College of Forestry, Oregon Natural Resources Education Program. It is designed to recognize significant contributions to the advancement of public information, education and understanding of forestry.
Lindsay Reaves, FTF Educator, will be honored at the Board of Forestry meeting on March 4, 2015. She will receive an engraved plaque, and her name will be displayed on another plaque at the Tillamook Forest Center.
